And the wheels, don't forget the wheels. Not available in 1983. Thus, they're not original to the car.
There's not a thing wrong with an all original car....but trying to pass off new(er) parts and gouging a buyer on the price is a load of horseturds.
Fact is, seller claims car came from factory with an HO motor. That's bullshiznit.
Seller also claims the 10 hole wheels to be factory original. Also bullshiznit.
Now...perhaps the wheel issue is this: original owner drove the car for a few years, until he needed new tires. Found out that the Metric rubber was about twice it's weight in gold, so he then went to a Ford dealer and ordered some Stang wheels...that's the only way I can figure he'd claim them to be factory original...however, they are NOT OE TO THAT YEAR CAR.
Doesn't detract from the car's intrigue though...worthwhile mods unless someone wanted it to truly keep "original".
However, Scott, you're correct...just exactly what color are those injectors...? Hmmm.
Even if it is truly an HO spec engine, it is still not nor ever will be original.
I also had to laugh when seller mentioned he didn't consider an engine to be "high output" unless it was around 400 horsepower or whatnot...
Does that make a '93 Cobra merely a GT with factory add-ons, then? The later HO engines indicated "HO" on the intake plate....hell, I don't know about you, but to me that puts an end to that (non) issue, no?
