1986 Thunderbird Elan 80,000 original Miles w/ Motorsport Crate 302 and 5 speed
I have lost my storage for my project again so I am posting it. History of car is my Grandmother bought it brand new in 1986, I have the original issued title and it is a one owner car. It is an elan loaded except a sunroof and v8. It was a 3.8 auto. The car has NEVER been in an accident. I did a V8 conversion putting in a motorsport crate motor from a donor car. It has aluminum heads. 24lb injectors, e cam, GT40 intake, cobra mass air and computer, bbk long tube headers. Motor has been powercoated and engine compartment was smoothed and painted 03 Mustang Sonic Blue. It has a Ram clutch, World class T5, adjustable quadrent & cable with firewall adjuster, custom motor mounts(will not break). It has 87 T/C driveshaft and 8.8 with rear disc. Also has CHP rear tubular control arms and new housing bushings. New KYB struts and shocks and brake pads. 4 Lug Cobra R replica wheels 17" but tires are pretty worn. Body work is pretty much complete just a few spots to make perfect ( but I am picky). I have three hoods for it ( stock, TC, Fiberglass cowl hood). I have a old FMS 3 piece rear spoiler for it. Also included is a 95% complete TC Black/Grey Leather interior as I was going to switch out the Red leather in it now which is just about perfect. I have many extra T-Bird parts which will go with the car if sold, everything is included. Car has fabbed H pipe and flowmasters but I have a brand new BBk longtube H pipe that will go with the car. I am sure I have missed alot of things with this car but any questions I would be happy to answer. I would love to see someone finish the car as I do not want to take it apart and sell the drivetrain ect. nothing is spliced as I used a 86 elan 5.0 wire harness and did the mass air converion to it. It was plug and play from there. Car runs awesome pulls like a freight train. I have driven it about 100 miles since the conversion to differant storage areas. Get ahold of me and i will answer all your questions. Thanks Brad. 815-871-seven six five three. car is in Rockford, IL.
