Hmmm

Notable bits:

Ford’s engineers spared no expense in re designing the outgoing 1983  vintage Thunderbird, to the point where there was nothing left of the  old model.

dull range and old fashioned engineering were dealt another serious blow with the arrival of the new 1988 Thunderbird coupe.
You'd think that a self-proclaimed car "blog" would get the correct info... :toilet:

Funny how 6 years' worth of cars are forgotten!
And the all new '88 SuperCoupe! So mythical, it's legendary. Too bad they were never sold to the public.....

'03 Focus, dropped a valve seat. yay. freakin' split port engines...

Hmm, nothing was left of the old car, except interior, engines, chassis (although skin was updated)...

It was the same car with a different skin on the outside... the only real update was to the intirior in 85 and then the minor style and engine tweaks in 87-88.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
