rough idle

I have a 88 cougar v6. Has 144,000 mi on it.  When i stop at a light and my engine idles. The interior of the car rattles. Everytime i stop. It has oil and tranny fluid.  Any ideas as to why.

Hit all your interior panels with a screwdriver to tighten them.  As far as oil and tranny fluid, yes these cars have these 2 fluids. :p. Seriously though I'm a bit vexed by what you mean by that.

maybe elaborate on what it's doing.. does it also make a kinda clunking sound when it starts shaking?

Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

Motor mounts?
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.
