Midwesteners... April 14, 2012, 03:40:25 AM Please be careful and vigilant today and Sunday...the weather is going to be bad. Large powerful storms and the NWS is predicting a massive tornado outbreak. From Oklahoma up into central and eastern Kansas...I know there's quite a few members in this area...Vinnie, Graham, hell, even where I am going to be is under the gun, even the area I live in is in danger.Be careful...the forecasters are calling for bad shiznit today. :(I would have no doubt that if you're in this area, and have some daring, you will probably see a twister...hopefully at a distance though, and on it's way FROM you... I have most of the major storm chasers on my facebook, Joel Taylor, Reed Timmer, Chris Chittick, Dick McGowen, <---(from the show Stormchasers on Discovery channel) and a good friend of mine Spencer Basoco. they keep me updated constantly with what is going on weather wise. Any time there is severe weather I am all over it.Quote from: vinnietbird;386772WHAT ?????? You mean to tell me it's just another day here in Oklahoma?Kansas aint much differnt :hick: Quote Selected

Midwesteners... Reply #9 – April 15, 2012, 08:09:54 AM For the first time in a week, it is now raining with thunder and lightning. There's a cellar 30 feet away as a "just in case". I do stay watchful. Dan, it may very well be a great day for the X-Files. Quote Selected
Midwesteners... Reply #10 – April 15, 2012, 11:14:47 AM Well, it rained for about an hour, then stopped. Now, overcast and calm. Not like the calm before a tornado....just calm. Quote Selected
Midwesteners... Reply #11 – April 15, 2012, 11:13:13 PM barely got anything here, not wichita...... drove through there earlier today and saw the damage path :( minimal injuries and no deaths but the damage is unreal... large trees uprooted and laying on houses, power poles snapped but still suspended by wires, insulation everywhere.. all of this is in a location that we drive through everytime we go to wichita. very sad to see :( Quote Selected
Midwesteners... Reply #12 – April 15, 2012, 11:15:47 PM Yeah, Wichita got beat up pretty good. I talked to my buddy who rents our house in Wichita and he said he was hiding in the closet while it was all going on. Luckily we didn't get any damage to the house. Quote Selected
Midwesteners... Reply #13 – April 16, 2012, 01:58:11 AM I've heard (unconfirmed) that the twister hit or otherwise damaged a hangar building where the B2 Spirit bombers are kept, as well as Air Force 1....again though, this was just something I read on another car forum...I did a bit of searching, didn't find anything conclusive. (Of course, if our mighty, top secret bomber storage was damaged..are we really gonna leak it on the world's number one search engine? lol) Quote Selected
Midwesteners... Reply #14 – April 16, 2012, 03:46:48 AM I'm in the Air Force. If it happened, I'm sure I will hear about it at work. Haven't looked for any info today though. Quote Selected
