You must've been getting close to Atlanta. Always dreaded going around that town unless it was in the wee hours of the morning.

I went straight through Atlanta one time, it was 11:00 at night on Christmas eve. NOBODY on the road. It was like being in The Walking Dead lol.

Keith I thought I told you about all that being out there, I guess not. You should definitely come up here and get out there with me sometime.

Back in 1998, I had just lost my job due to the company filing bankruptcy. Thought I'd try my hand at truck driving, so I rode to West palm beach with my dad. He's been driving as a profession since 1968 or so...

Anyway, when we went through Atlanta and then Jacksonville, I knew that truckin' wasn't gonna be my career. That was the worst traffic I have ever seen.
When we went through Daytona, it was when Earnhardt won the 500....it was a stormy night, and there was a solid line of drunken rednecks playing bumper tag in the northbound lanes. Tornado warnings for Volusia county that same night....was a fun trip. Glad when we pulled into Florida Power & Light in W. palm so we could sleep lol

Beautiful scenery down there, but way too much traffic for this cat. Next time, I'll fly lol.
