Done the 8.8 turbo coupe swap into the cougar, but leaking!!

I just did a turbo coupe 8.8 rear end swap on the cougar, rebuilt posi, new clutches, and 3.73 gears. Also made some REAL subframe connectors not chinese tin made for shipping crates, like what you see on ebay that burn through when you try and weld em in. I got a nice aluminum diff cover, but I can't seem to get it to seal properly. I tried twice, once with silicone, and once with gasket and silicone. Soon as the diff warms up it leaks like a sieve. Any ideas on how to seal it so it don't leak??

What kind of silicon did you use? Also what's the brand of the diff cover?

Make sure you're torquing all the bolts more than once. But you probably knew that already.

I think I have figured it out, I think the diff vent is plugged as the thing has been sitting for years before we put it in the cougar. It is leaking out of everywhere, so the thing must be pressurizing as it heats up. I think that is why the silicone keeps blowing out. I never thought to check it when we put it in and I never seen anything like that before...

Very common If the vent is plugged pressure builds up and blows out fluid everywhere.
I spend money I don't have, To build  cars I don't need, To impress people I don't know
