New DD Beater November 03, 2011, 02:16:38 PM 1996 SHO Medium Grafite (it's purple)/ Gray. 3.4 V8 oh and it's MTX/Quaifed and on spray. Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #1 – November 03, 2011, 02:36:01 PM I didn't think the V8 ones were available with MTX (but then, you could fill a bucket with what I don't know about SHO's). Is that an addition? If so, am I correct in assuming a Duratec MTX from a Contour was used? Quote Selected

But I heard that someone was trying to come up with a plate to let you use one. If this car is a 5 speed that would be so so so sweet...Dillon that is a great looking 3rd gen you have there. You can tell by my name that I have a soft spot for SHO's. I've owned 11 of them and plan to own more before I die. :)Im also diggin the 1st gen you have to. :D Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #3 – November 03, 2011, 03:35:17 PM Ford forgot to make it an option. 1 of 4 v8 cars that have been MTX swapped. 1 of 3 with Ford trans. This is number 8 or 9 for me. They keep me entertained I guess. Quote Selected

It has been put away for a long time. It holds no dollar value to me so I won't sell but I refuse to build it less than perfect. Quote Selected

New DD Beater Reply #7 – November 03, 2011, 10:24:48 PM What's cool is that it looks like it has some TurboCoupe scoops in the hood! Very nice touch. Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #8 – November 03, 2011, 10:45:08 PM show a pic of the top of the hood please Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #9 – November 03, 2011, 10:48:07 PM Nice SHO, I've never seen one swapped to a manual. The only thing I really know about them is you're supposed to weld the cam gears. Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #10 – November 03, 2011, 10:55:41 PM we never got the SHO, coz the taurus flopped.I'd love to see what all the fuss is about :Dthe above one actually looks pretty nice. Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #11 – November 04, 2011, 12:05:26 PM I was waiting for someone to notice after I realized I didn't have a good closed picture at an angle you could see. TC Scoops and 70-72 LeMans cowl vents. I'm going to go over it again. It's been 10 years or so since it was originally done and it's starting to pop around the rear. Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #12 – November 04, 2011, 07:39:58 PM the scoops look right but I'm just not sure about the vents, over all the metal work looks good though. looking at one of my TC hoods, the scoops look to be further apart than those were they moved closer together? Quote Selected
New DD Beater Reply #13 – November 04, 2011, 07:53:44 PM The new one looks good. Do you still have the older ones? Quote Selected
