Hey, 87anniv, thought you'd get a kick out of this...

Yeah, I know, technically this is a "lead", but it's a member's former car for sale locally.

Look familiar? :hick: Note how it says "Never winter driven", even though I posted in this forum about seeing it being winter driven this past winter?

Still...  I wish I could swing this.

Yeah...and that's why that engine bay looked brand new and now the aluminum parts look pretty much as bad as any car that's been through winters every year the last 15-20 years! I honestly want to cry looking at that. And honestly it wouldn't be hard to clean that up, but the fact that it went 20+ years and stayed pristine and in the blink of an eye it's done for. Not to mention, better find a way to blast some serious water through the front subframe and then stick an air gun in there and dry it out too...
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

Thanks for the lead, brings back memories. For a second I was tempted to phone myself. He had managed to clock about 30K miles in the last year, sort of losing its lower mileage status. He was also a heavy smoker so i'm sure the interior has taken a toll. As you guys stated the body is likely starting to show its age due to winter driving. Still its not a bad price for the car, I think you should swing it. All things considered it still would be very nice driver quality.
