Minitub Reply #15 – August 30, 2011, 10:50:12 PM Yeah, the car is on stands right now in pieces for through the floors which is what got me looking closer into the tub situation. I was hoping I could just use Mustang minitubs but now I don't think they're going to work. Oh well, just more fabbing lol. It's a small obstacle in the grand scheme of things. Quote Selected
Minitub Reply #16 – August 30, 2011, 10:55:45 PM Yeah, that's cool. Your stuff looks to be a little more "show" than mine lol. I've got 4130 and 1/8" steel everywhere. Ah, the joys of chassis fab lol. Quote Selected
Minitub Reply #17 – August 30, 2011, 11:03:15 PM Tubbing mine, just haven't got that far yet. So I'm subscribing for a better read later. Quote Selected
Minitub Reply #18 – August 31, 2011, 03:23:51 AM You can also roll the fenders with a rolling tool. That will give you more room and it works real good. It is limited but you can gain at least an inch. Just another option. Quote Selected

Do you have any pics of how low your car is with 275-60's?I don't have a pic with the 60's but this one is the equivilent of a 275-50. Though it may look decieving the car has about 3" of ground clearance for the mechanicals and exhaust (it ses everytime I pull in my driveway). If getting it slammed it what you'd like, there's no doubt the room runs out, the higher the tire gets in the wheel house! Quote Selected

I probably wouldn't want to go much lower if it was a street car at all but I can get away with slamming it since it's not. Yeah, a lot of people don't realize how a real 275 fits on a slammed car. Thirty just isn't any room once it gets so low. Quote Selected
Minitub Reply #22 – September 01, 2011, 11:42:38 PM Quote from: TOM Renzo;366610Here is the trunk view of the Camaro with 3" TUBShttp://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx46/proguns/011-2.jpgHere is the actual wheel well of another Camaro we didhttp://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx46/proguns/009-3.jpg Thanks for the pics, Tom. The only thing that's really throwing me with doing this to the Tbird are the funky gaps behind the stock wells where the spare sits and whatever was on the passenger side. I am not a body guy. If I cut the stock wells out I want to make sure I'm not going to have any issues with the quarter panels flexing at the bottom without the supports. I've just glanced at it so far so it might not even be an issue, I'll take a closer look tomorrow. Quote Selected
