2011 Fiesta April 24, 2011, 01:01:31 PM I just bought my wife one of these and I gotta say, I freaking LOVE it. It handles like one of those Euro hot hatches. You can get 150 and 180 hp kits overseas, so I am hoping they bring those here. Plus I hear there is a turbo in the works. HIGHLY recommend this lil beast. Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #1 – April 24, 2011, 01:53:09 PM Glad you got a hatch and not the fugly sedan model...I liked the fiesta til I saw the new focus. Theyre gonna have to step it up with the fiesta. Supposedly the focus has the same epa mpg rating... Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #2 – April 24, 2011, 02:56:43 PM yeah...had to wait 3 weeks for a hatch. I hate sedans. The focus is 5 grrrr more though, so fun per $ is higher with the fiesta. Plus I am getting 38MPG CITY! Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #3 – April 24, 2011, 06:49:27 PM Must be the new thing with the funky center stack layout. The 2011 Elantra that I test drove had pretty much the same look to it. Bad news for the aftermarket industry, as I can see no way of installing an aftermarket deck into the car (not that you'd really have any need to nowadays, with most factory radios having CD/MP3/Sat/USB/iPod capability right out of the box) Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #4 – April 24, 2011, 07:03:10 PM Sweet ride, I've secretly wanted one as a DD since I first read about them, I have a lengthy commute to work (150 miles round trip), but I am happy with my paid off, dented, ugly, ricey sounding Escort...lol Sounds like you may be driving that car more than your wife.... 2011 Fiesta Reply #5 – April 25, 2011, 06:41:43 AM I havent had a car payment in 4 years, so what the heck. It was 18k out the door so not bad really. I DO drive it more actually! LOL Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #6 – April 25, 2011, 07:03:59 AM Interior looks way better than the Cobalt my wife bought:hick:. Congrats on the new car.:D Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #7 – April 25, 2011, 08:26:16 AM My wife really likes them, if we hadn't bought her a Mazda 3 a few months before they were available we would have one. They are cool little cars. Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #8 – April 25, 2011, 11:52:02 AM I am waiting for the Ken Block rally package to come out. LOLhttp://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/21/ken-blocks-gymkhana-fiesta-revealed/ Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #9 – April 25, 2011, 02:24:00 PM 180 hp in that would be so much fun. :) I like it but I think I prefer the look of our Cobalt over it. That interior looks pretty futuristic but not really my style. One thing I really wish our Cobalt had though is cruise control and power windows and stuff (we have the utmost base model), and alloy wheels. Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #10 – April 25, 2011, 03:26:37 PM I was looking at the Cobalt, but they got bad reviews, plus it's a Ch#%y. Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #11 – April 25, 2011, 05:25:20 PM I work on a lot of Cobalts, and they're really not that great a car (to put it in the politest way I could put it). They are a very clear example of "Old GM" thinking. Not as bad as the Uplander/Montana/Relay fiasco, but still, not great.Lakenheath: I know what you mean about the payment thing. I just bought my first new car (and it represents the first time I'd had a car payment in 16 years). I'd always campaigned against buying a new car and always said I'd never, ever do it because it's such a poor investment. Funny things can happen to one's principles when the weather gets nice and one gets tired of looking at garbage in the driveway... Quote Selected
2011 Fiesta Reply #12 – April 25, 2011, 05:58:14 PM Thunderchicken....we must have been on the same wavelength. I was NEVER gonna buy a new one. BUT, that smell...new car smell. Couldn't resist it once I drove it around the block. Quote Selected
