2011 Fiesta

I just bought my wife one of these and I gotta say, I freaking LOVE it.  It handles like one of those Euro hot hatches.  You can get 150 and 180 hp kits overseas, so I am hoping they bring those here.  Plus I hear there is a turbo in the works.  HIGHLY recommend this lil beast.

Glad you got a hatch and not the fugly sedan model...

I liked the fiesta til I saw the new focus. Theyre gonna have to step it up with the fiesta. Supposedly the focus has the same epa mpg rating...

yeah...had to wait 3 weeks for a hatch.  I hate sedans.  The focus is 5 grrrr more though, so fun per $ is higher with the fiesta.  Plus I am getting 38MPG  CITY!

Must be the new thing with the funky center stack layout. The 2011 Elantra that I test drove had pretty much the same look to it. Bad news for the aftermarket industry, as I can see no way of installing an aftermarket deck into the car (not that you'd really have any need to nowadays, with most factory radios having CD/MP3/Sat/USB/iPod capability right out of the box)

Sweet ride, I've secretly wanted one as a DD since I first read about them, I have a lengthy commute to work (150 miles round trip), but I am happy with my paid off, dented, ugly, ricey sounding Escort...lol Sounds like you may be driving that car more than your wife....

My wife really likes them, if we hadn't bought her a Mazda 3 a few months before they were available we would have one. They are cool little cars.

180 hp in that would be so much fun. :) I like it but I think I prefer the look of our Cobalt over it. That interior looks pretty futuristic but not really my style. One thing I really wish our Cobalt had though is cruise control and power windows and stuff (we have the utmost base model), and alloy wheels.

I was looking at the Cobalt, but they got bad reviews, plus it's a Ch#%y.

I work on a lot of Cobalts, and they're really not that great a car (to put it in the politest way I could put it). They are a very clear example of "Old GM" thinking. Not as bad as the Uplander/Montana/Relay fiasco, but still, not great.

Lakenheath: I know what you mean about the payment thing. I just bought my first new car (and it represents the first time I'd had a car payment in 16 years). I'd always campaigned against buying a new car and always said I'd never, ever do it because it's such a poor investment. Funny things can happen to one's principles when the weather gets nice and one gets tired of looking at garbage in the driveway...

Thunderchicken....we must have been on the same wavelength.  I was NEVER gonna buy a new one.  BUT, that smell...new car smell. Couldn't resist it once I drove it around the block.
