My new $100 Turbo TC April 05, 2011, 02:22:08 AM The guy I bought it from paid $1500 for the car 4 months prior but knew nothing about cars. Turbo TC's are contant fix it cars if you dont maintain them, and this car started smoking, dripping oil, and dripping water. Plus the fact that he lived in a rich gated community that only had Mercedes,Lexus's, and other high end cars in all the drive ways. The Home Owners Association was complaining and his big bucks wife was too, so he just wanted it gone. His exact words were "Get the Dang thing out of here! I would rather you take it now than wait for the junk yard to come get it!" LOL!http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/1986%20Black%20Thunderbird/tcrearback.jpghttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/1986%20Black%20Thunderbird/tcfront.jpghttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/1986%20Black%20Thunderbird/tcrearpass.jpghttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/1986%20Black%20Thunderbird/tcinside.jpgTodayRebuilt the head, low mileage block from my 87 TC(excuse to build a stroker for the white one), 87 TC hood(thanks mike),new clutch, jy ranger cam, new brake booster, brake master cylinder and both brake cylinders. 8.8 87 TC posi rear end I nabbed on 50% off day for $60, remote mount TFI,I rebuilt the turbo myself with a kit I already had, new cat, jy $35 exhaust , i fixed the rust in lower back window myself with bondo and lots of sweat and cussing, jy dew wipes, other knick-knack parts from HCOR(Thanks Dude), jy 3G alt. Going to keep this one old school with big 215/60/15 tires up front and 245/60/15 in rear with raised white lettering. Not even going to lower her. Just cruise her at 10-15lb of boost max. OLD SCHOOLIt wont be a speed demon, but she will be a nice smooth cruiser for long trips. Quote Selected
