Cd Cartridge...

The ford explorer has a 6 CD changer, but the cartridge was not there when we bought the car. I´m looking for a place that i can find the cartridge. I also checked ebay, but i´m looking for a more serious place, because this is going to cost me a lot (shipping) and i want a safe buy....

This is a start. I know you are from Mexico so there may be some shipping issues, not sure.

But you can hunt around this site and make some phone calls or send some E-mail.

Most of those cd changers installed were made by someone that already made them. Check your closest Best Buy or place like that. If I remember right the factory changer in my buddies S/C uses the Clarion cartridge. I'm sure that there is some brand that works in it. I know the Gm changers are really pioner with a control box added on.

I have sent an email to partydown.com for info about shipping. I´m waiting their response.

I am looking like ipsd said, and discover that the VW 6 cd changer is the same (they´re listed in the same part number at partydown). Maybe my chances to find the cartridge here are better, because VW cars are plenty,but i guess that the passat is the only car with factory cd changer, and still is a hunting task....
