Rear view mirror with compass and temp display?

I was just wondering if anyone has found a rear view mirror with a compass and outside temp display that is not only easy to install in a Fox but also looks factory. I'd like to put one in (hell my Focus has an exterior temp display) but I don't want to add an overhead console as it would destroy the factory look of the interior.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

flylear is putting one in his car.  They are manufactured by Gentex.  Pretty pricey if you go new.  You could maybe swipe one from a junkyard or find one used on ebay.  They are all about the same wiring.

I plan to install one in my tbird.

I think Vinnetbird gets them Im interested but have the same concerns as you.

They are easy to wire, and look great.

Somebody put a digital display in their rear view mirror (O2 sensor, IIRC) by hollowing it out from behind.  Maybe you could do something similar using the OH console display?

 Do I have to pull the head liner  or run it in the trim and down the a pillar? Where does the outside temp sensor go and does the compass live in the mirror? What powers it?

I put one in my F250. Brand new Gentex from e-bay. Liked it so much that I put one in the Cougar too. They look completely factory and autodim to. I think they were about $150 new.

You don't have to pull the headliner. The compass is actually at the base of the mirror so nothing extra to install. The temperature probe clips behind the grill. Running that wire is probably the hardest part of the whole process, so that should tell you how easy it is.

I'm actually more interested in the exterior temp display than a compass. Did any Lincolns or some other car come with mirrors with temp displays in them?

You'll find them in more GM cars than anything. Same company,so you're not really installing  on the Ford product.LOL.

I put a mirror from a 2002 escalade in my Saleen. The pics dont show the compass and temp too good-I was mostly taking pics to show the radar detector display that I mounted in the mirror. I paid about $35 for the mirror on ebay. It has autodim,compass and temp. The temp sensor and pigtail was $25 from the auto parts store.

I don't think I've seen a temperature mirror without the compass. I could be wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time....

I like that mirror, but it just screams GM to me.  I guess Im too familiar with my Suburban.  Personally, I like the ones that are flat across the bottom without the buttons.
