86 XR7 now for sale 8/11 February 03, 2011, 10:39:56 AM Heres the deal, was looking to get my daughter her 1st car(mustang) and deal fell through. Found another box bird which she doesnt like but I do and since I cant get away buying another toy before getting her a car was contemplating selling my cougar buying what I want and then finding her something else. The car is a 86 XR7, bought it from Victor a couple years ago painted it and put it all back together but I have never really warmed up to it, I am more of a T Bird guy. Anyway it has 129k on it but the motor was replaced at 111k or so, I have the reciept, with a reman motor by another guy on here, cant remember who though. That was done before I bought it. Only issues with car are, last fall headlights started to do the flicker thing if the fog lights were on. I parked the car for winter so havent fixed yet. And the aux fan was wired to run constantly when I got it, my intent was to add a on off switch so I can control it manually but its still to cold for me to start playing in the garage. As far as a price I dont really know what its worth so I guess I would call it open to offers. The car is located in my garage in Jamestown NY. About 50 miles from Erie PA and 90 miles from Buffalo NY. If you want to see anything specific I can snap some more pics or if you want to see it in person let me know Also, I have all the side mldgs, chrome strip isnt worth a darn but I never put them back on the car and I also have a 87-88 t/c hood that I got last fall but havent painted yet that could go with it Quote Selected

Car is very clean underneath. I dont know the entire history of it but would imagine it was not a winter car ever as there is no holes/rust under it. When I got it it had a bad rt frt fender and a dent in the rt 1/4 in frt of the wheel. The fender was the result of a re-cap tire coming apart and beating the snot out of it and I dont know the origin of the 1/4 dent. I bought a replacement fender from a s yard in Arizona so its rust free also and I popped the dent out of the 1/4. As far as a price I am open to offers, as I just dont know what they are worthI also have NOS tail light assy for it, cant remember which side or if its both. Quote Selected

86 XR7 now for sale 8/11 Reply #7 – August 11, 2011, 05:46:33 PM Ok, car was on ebay and never sold so I put it away in my garage. At the moment I am in florida getting my son into college so as you can guess car is for sale. I use this old post as I don't have access to new pics as I am 1300 miles from it. Pics are as it sits now with the exception that the mldgs are all on the car now and there is a t/c style hood on also, I still have the original hood. H/L switch has been replaced to cure that issue and a switch for the fan has been installed. I will be back in NY the first part of next week and can get pics or answer questions if needed. I don't know if I will have internet access before I get back so if anyone asks a question I will answer in order received. Quote Selected

Actually I am not all that far away. I am on the far western side of NY. I have picked up a few cars in your area( Chicago and in Wisconsin) and did it in 2 days. Quote Selected
