Got the Oil Changed in the Beast

Thought I'd get my wife's 8 y/o to help me out, as he was all about it, when the 'underbird was here.

So, we crawled under the pick 'em up truck (it's niiiiiiiice not needing a jack, btw) and I got the drain plug loose enough for Keven to finish taking off. Well, as soon as the oil hit his hand, he screamed like a girl, hit his head, cried, then I had to wipe the oil off of his face, and hair :)

5 quarts of Pennzoil 10W30 & a K&N oil filter, and half a box of Tidy Cat, we're ready to rock 'n' roll for another 3,000 miles :headbang:

I'm actually glad we only used half of a box, too. We've got to do the Jetta, tomorrow ;)

Pennzoil leaves a nasty build up over time.  been in pleanty of engines that used it and I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy. yuck

I use Valvoline and sometimes Mobile clean 5000 the insides of my engines are always spotless.

I've used valvoline for the whole 11 years that I've been driving. I've never had any problem with it. I couldnt say the same for Pennzoil, I've never torn apart a motor that I knew had been ran with Pennzoil.
My father inlaw uses Pennzoil.

This was the C-1500 I'd changed the oil in. I may just go ahead and switch back to Havoline after some of these replies :punchballs:

Well, got the Jetta done, today. About fifteen minutes ago, as a matter of fact. It wasn't too bad, but talk about a lack of working space (much like anything else I've done to the car) :bricks1:

Oh well, now the Jetta's good for 3K :headbang:
