older neon's liked blowing headgaskets.  I still work at the ghetto zone and I sell headgasket kits for these things every week.

Yeah, even better than the ford 3.8, the HG issue has been resolved with better gaskets, I think.

Perhaps they made em just as cheap as ever.  It's a good looking car though.  I wouldn't mind having one to drive every day.

actually, an issue was that they never retorqued headbolts, aluminum heads need to go through a head cycle and retorque, and they didnt do that with the neons
