Wicked fast? Nice looking car. Does he have a love for cars like we do,or is it mostly transportation? I'm the only "car person" in our house. I'd like to hire a well versed person to install a Shelby drive train into a Sport for me. I'm not tackiling anything modular in a Fox.

He's in to it,specially detailing. He already has new exhaust, tires and wheels and a grill for it,probably install the stuff this weekend. He wouldn't even let the dealer wash it when it came off the truck.

I'm like that. When I got my first new Bird in Nov. of '87,I was there when it came off the truck, and wouldn't let them do any prep for it. I wanted to be the first to get my hands on it. Otherwise,I'd have that "violated' feeling.

Never knew you had a brand new Bird. That must have been pretty sweet. I wasn't even thought of in '87....lol

A lot. For starters it's a modular motor. Whole different world from our pushrod 302's.  Puts out over 400 hp as well.

Well only about 200-250 hp. And a 7000rpm redline.

I think the only thing they have in common is that they are V8s. I bet the actual displacements aren't even the same. Completely different animal. A very shagy animal.

Fun fact for y'all. BuyFordRacing has the Coyote 5.0 crate engine on black-friday sale for only $5700 bucks delivered. I really wish i had the funds for one.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the new motors actually measure 5.0 liters...the push rod motors were actually 4.9, but Ford rounded it up because lets be honest; 5.0 sounds a lot cooler than 4.9 lol.
