Anyone else realize this?

Now that we are safely back online, I don't know if anyone else realized but this forum is now 5 years old.

From what I can gather, 10-14-05 was the date the new forum went up? So..... happy late birthday foxtbirdcougarforums!!!

And thanks carmen for not only gettin us back up, but also for being a part of the process in the first place and also to anyone else who helped get us going.

Ehh, we're older than that, that's just when (or close to) they (Carm, Alex, Eric) set us all up with basically what we are now..I remember the old ezboard, although I had a different name..been a long time though, think that was around 2002 or '03 when I was there then...

So how far back does this forum go?  I remember being on here back when it was ezboard (probably in early 2000's).

PS:  Happy B-day to me that was my 1400th post.  lol.

I joined the original EZBoard-hosted forum back in early 1999 or late 1998. for those of you who don't remember it, you didn't miss anything. The user base and info was just as good then as it is now, but the actual board software and host SUCKED. It was a constant battle between EZBoard and the users, with EZBoard demanding ransom or they'd fill the board with ads so as to render it unusable. And the more popular the board got the higher the ransom demands got. Then, shortly after we moved over, EZBoard (called "Sleazyboard" by most members) had a server failure and lost ALL of our data. Luckily a member saved it all as an archive. He sent me that archive a while ago, but I haven't gotten around to doing anything with it yet...

yeah, anyone with a 2004 join date was likely around during the previous sleezy board times but it never really bothered me.  We lost a lot of data but most of it or the important stuff got pulled in by masterblaster i think.

Wow, thats cool.  I was on under a different name for a while.... forgot it, and re-signed up again.  It was like a rear or two before the join date on the right here----->
