Chrome

Seems the only chrome that is worth a  on my car is what surrounds the windshield and side windows (real metal!!). I have my original peice for my driver 1/4 window, it was bent off the car 10 years ago when i tried putting a car cover on. Any leads on where to find something like this?

Also, the beltline chrome bubbled up like every other ford and lincoln on the road. Would anyone point me in the right direction to perhaps a chrome trim company, maybe have custom metal chrome strips insterted into the peices?

I found 5/8 inch fake chrome on a roll online, thats probably not the right size anyway but for what I am doing with this car, I dont mind spending more for the long run and having real chrome metal installed.

The chrome for the 1/4 window is actually part of the window... You would need to find another window somewhere. NOS 1/4 windows on Ebay, if you find them could be up towards $100 for the 1 side. the chrome trim will be equally impossible to find. It's 7/16" wide, and they don't make the exact replacement moulding anymore. you could find some that's close though. I found NOS chrome trim for mine, and $150 later I had enough for just the bumpers.....A lot of hunting is required for the trim that you need

look up chrome shops online or in the yellow pages and see if you can get them to make some custom strips for you to put in your belt trim. If you find a good shop and show them exactly what you need they may be able to custom fab some new stuff for you. It will no doubt be expensive but it will almost definitely make you happy in the end. I've got a chrome shop about 30 mi from my house and I think they do that sort of thing, I plan on having them do mine when I get to that point.

Surprisingly Ive seen quite a few 1/4 windows on craigslist, ill have to jump on one of them.

Ill call around to the chrome shops then and keep you updated. We replaced the fake chrome beltline on my grandmas 93 lincoln like 5 times. As much as I am sinking into this car, I want the real stuff lol.
