My 1986 "parts car" Thunderbird

My friend hooked me up with my current Foxbody.

She's a 1986 Thunderbird with a 5.0L  157,000km  /AOD/  7.5 Rear.  it

that he bought as a parts car for his '85 Thunderbird.

He told me it was too nice to tear up so I took it off his hands.

Right now it's stock with only Accel goodies on it but I want to get into some cheap hop ups  when I get some more cash going.

I've been told the K-member is bent and the ball joints are original and need to be replaced ASAP  so I am trying to find a "new"  (original) K-member and do all the frontend stuff at the same time to save a little money.

Any imput would be welcomed.

My buddies car is a Black '85 with a big block , 4 link rear,  Gutted interior and mini tubbed.    Its pretty well known around Scarborough Ontario Canada.

Nice car. I understand why you'd want to change the ball joints, but I don't understand why you'd want to swap the K-member and everything.Ball joints are easy, and any old, original K-Member needs bushings and ball joints.....and probably a steering rack.

Wow even the body side moldings look decent...

Trust me I'd rather not change the K-Member but it is slightly bent.

The side moldings are still holding on nicely.  There has been some non professional body work done to in on the fender lips (around the wheels)  and other various spots but they matched the paint pretty well.  The interior is immaculate.
