emblem placement on mn-12 bird; 56k, run away!!! Reply #2 – October 05, 2010, 04:54:36 PM cool.Since Ford was kind enough to grace the MN-12's with NO c-pillar emblems, I am going to be putting some on mine. There is a donor TC nearby that I swear the emblems are the only good thing on it, and I will be putting them on mine. However, its a 85 and so I need to see a 87/88 to reference the placement since the 96 is closer to that style. Can someone take a pic for me that shows the exact location of the 87/88's by the rear window so that I can reference it for my own? Would appreciate, thanks Quote Selected

emblem placement on mn-12 bird; 56k, run away!!! Reply #4 – October 05, 2010, 10:14:46 PM Well, I'm gonna figure out something. And if I don't those emblems are getting pulled. They're in way too good of shape to let go to waste. So if they don't show up on my car look for them in the marketplace soon Quote Selected

emblem placement on mn-12 bird; 56k, run away!!! Reply #7 – October 07, 2010, 08:33:34 PM Uhm, well I fixed the picture so you can tell...Its not actually attached yet. I just grabbed them today and held them up there in place for the sake of taking the picture that proves that the in fact, do fit. You can see the nuts still attached to the back.As soon as I figure out how to get the interior body panel off then I will be installing it. But for now I have no desire to drill rain holes in my perfectly good sheet metal:D Quote Selected

Reply #9 – October 07, 2010, 08:37:52 PM yes and so does windshield caulk.......but.....I want to install it properly and attach the nuts on the backside of the sheetmetal,1. Because it has a very slight curve that I need the emblems to conform to, and2. Because I want to caulk them from the backside so that I can be sure of a good seal.I will also add the tiniest amount of caulking to the backside of the emblems before they go on to be sure of no rattling and good adhesion. It is a little narrow around the upper half, but below that it's fine. Mine will be going somewhere in the 1/2 - 2/3 of the way down area, they look very nice there. (IMO) Quote Selected
