I almost don't think that's too bad a deal for a car like that... not even 40K!!

I agree.. as time's passing it's going to be harder and harder to find a car in that condition. And quite simply if someone wants to relive that feeling of owning one of these cars as if it were brand new that price tag might be worth it to them.

I don't think he's out of line on the price. It seems fair to me. How many 86 5.0 Cougars come up in that condition? Not many.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Seriously that car is in wonderful shape. I think it's worth every penny if it is that immaculate. Just wish I had the money to buy it!
 
This is indeed the beginning of our Fox Cats and Birds becoming more valuable as collectors items.

maybe in a few years, with all the 1's headed off to the crusher.. but the sports/TC's will be worth that before the LS/3.8 cars will.. but that's just my opinion

Back in '85 we had a Midnight Regatta Blue Cougar just like this one only it had a 3.8L v-6 engine. :)

No way I'd pay 11 for it, but right now the higest bid is at ~5000. I'd go for that reeaaal quick if I had it.  reserves:hick:
