TC is back to DD duty

Hurt my festiva at the strip so I had to pull my TC out of the yard for DD duty. Its got some issues itself like pressurizing the crankcase. I ran to the ford dealer and had them order a PCV valve for it. I also have a catch can on the way. It was running a bit warm around town as well, not sure what was up with that.

VERY strange driving a festiva for 5 months and then going back to the bird. I feel like I'm going to run into everything. The steering is quite sloppy compared to festiva manual steering. I feel claustrophobic in the bird too lol. So much more glass and headroom in the festy. Its losing oil and powersteering fluid like mad. But it fires up the first time every time and idles awesome. Even on 5 month old gas. Almost got 34 mpg on the tripminder driving 25-30 miles from my dads to home too.

The festiva had a best ET of 14.13 and a best MPH of 102.67. I think I got a little carried away trying to squeeze a 13 out of it (and get kicked out for no helmet lol). I could be facing a burnt piston or valve.

Thats funny that you say that, cause when I drove my buddie's festiva, I felt claustrophobic in that thing. Just to push the clutch I had to nearly bring my knee to my chin lol

Couse being 6'3" everything feels a little claustrophobic, ...thats why I drive big ass long wheelbased coupes:D

What kind of driving do you do? How much city/highway? If I am the only one driving my 5.0 bird, I can get 23-26 average about 50% highway.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

90% highway at least. I'm sure it'll get better. It'll never be the 35-40mpg I was getting from a car that was 10mph faster in the 1/4 mile.

better than me! I drive my cars hard, I only get about 18-20 with either of mine.

$40 in the bird, every week on a good week. (Its actually $50/wk figured into my budget):rollin:
