87 Cougar 5.0 HO

being a bit partial to these cars, I had to save this 87
from getting trashed.
Its a 1 owner 87 5.0 , 89k orig miles, Tucson car, no rust.
factory paint, but very faded on top, but other then that, nice driver.
Classic Silver charcoal with Red interior and digital dash.

The Cougars and Thunderbirds did not have a HO engine from the factory.  They had a 150 horsepower standard outpout (SO) engine while the Mustang had the 225 horsepower HO version.  Way more than "slightly detuned."  The tech article below describes some of the differences.

Still a great find though.  Congrats on the purchase!

It would've been cool if they came slightly detuned as opposed to incredibly detuned....

That looks like Davis-Monthan AFB.  I will keep my eyes peeled for it when I'm there next week.
My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.

either way, the car has enough power on tap to make as
a good daily driver...
It doesnt have to be Mustang fast, its close enough as is.
If I wanted it really quick Id just add a 100 shot of nitrous
to it :)
