Battery is discharging

This is my 88TC.  If I dont drive it everyday, the battery drains.  The battery is good, and I just had the alternator tested and the voltage regulator is bad.  Will the diodes in there cause the battery to discharge?

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

yes for sure, very common problem on the earlier models with external regulators. I have a couple used alts for 87-88 TC if you need one.

even for internal regulators.
i started my paracitic draw testing right at the solenoid, found out with my bulb that the alt feed was still lighting up the bulb with no key in.
this was on a EECIV / TFI FI 1990 ford bronco 351w with 5speed.
