Yep, I'm a junkie...

So due to my sport's case of automotive leprosy, it's getting put down. Literally parts have been falling off of it for the past week...

BUT being a t-bird junkie I found and acquired a RUST FREE FL car. It's a shiznit model 5.0 with a column shift but it's in beautiful condition (and the ac works!). The hubcaps have so gotta go though...

Picking it up tonight so pics later or tomorrow. It will be getting my hood, fender with the frenched antenna and tc nose somewhere over the next year when I can afford the paint. And of course eventually my 5 speed and some motor upgrades. For now I will enjoy having a decent car for a while again though (not to mention I may need knee surgery, stupid motorcycle).

Yep, I'm a junkie...

It's really the automatic in general that throws me, I've been driving nothing but stick cars for the past year and a half. My ranchero is a column shift too ;)

I kind of like the 5.0 cars....and the Sport is lucky she can't read what you called them.LOL.

I'm glad you got a good foundation to start fresh with. Are you installing the 4 banger,or building the 5.0 up?

Just a quick pic when I picked it up:

It's a 5.0 which I prefer to the tc's as far as reliability is concerned. I've now had 3 5.0's and 3 TC's

there's a couple dings and a bit of sun damage to the rear package tray (I know, the horror, right?)

We don't get to put much on the sidewalk anymore. 1 big thing a week and we have to call and schedule a pickup. I miss last year when you could like empty the world on to the sidewalk and they just took it all.

Thats a nice car looks sharp . Leave it the way it is and use it as a dd. Provided it was takin care of under the hood it should get decent mpg's and last a long time.
