It's ALIVE!!!!!!!

I got it all put together yesterday except the exhaust. So being who I am, I put in the battery and turned the key. Two cranks and it came to life. Wow is it loud. LOL. I was so happy. The check engine light is on because the o2's are not plugged in yet. Have to extend harness. Pluss I have to do the throttle cable adjustment for the trans. I have to find that somewhere on u tube or here maybe.

But snappy throttle and a loud sweet idle. The stage 1 TFS cam idles pretty smotth with the mass air.

I will get some pics up soon.

Good job !!! Glad to hear that there is life in the old girl now. I also have the same cam,but in a 5.0.Great idle, but pretty lopey.I like it,but I am still trying to get used to it.The E303 isn't that lopey.

I know a buddy of mine had a E303 and it was pretty choppy at idle. I love the sound of a choppy idle. When there is no lers on the car and you live in a nice area with stuck up people and one asshole nieghbor, I don't want to rock the boat. It needs to be warm and have the idle adjusted. Then reset the tps. Probably more stuff. I just found a coolant leak that turned out to be my coolant hose that goes from the t-stat to the pump. I forgot to tighten the clamp.

I am going to hit the pick n pull tomorrow and see if I can find a o2 harness from a LSC mark 7. I think that has the longer o2 sensor harness compared to the tbird one.

You can upload pics or video instantly on http://imageshack.us/  without even having an account.  Photobucket videos never work right for me. I think my connection is just too slow to stream them like PB makes me do. So I use Imageshack for everything.

A cam that has a lopy idle in a 5.0, will idle smoother in a larger engine...

Well I had some problems. Started as a bad tps and pcm. I tryed someone elses pcm and it ran better. Now I have a non touched A9L in place. It has a hunting idle to it right now. Also I did ride her hard and now my trans seems to be not going into first. It does go fast though. Wow. Even I am supprised at the throttle responce and sound. I think I will have to replace my pushrods with .050 longer ones to work with the 1.7rr. Then possably a tune and a chip. I had a couple leaks to take care of but now I am good. Looks like my rear main seal is leaking but I just replaced it before I installed the engine. I may have nicked the seal when installing it or something else. I will keep you guys updated.
