87-88 Ground Effects ! ! ! May 13, 2010, 01:56:00 AM I have a line on a guy that can do custom ground effects for cars LIKE OURS! that dont have much available. THE CATCH, is that they need 10 pre-ordered before they will do the design and a donor car to use as a template. (i would of course donate mine to be built on)Price is in the $675 range. (plus shipping i would assume but dont know for sure)I've always thought it would be awesome to take some looks of a few that are great designs and put them into one great product. With all the 87-88 Cougar folks here, I thought a select 10 order group of us could get a bad @$$ body kit and still be different enough from everyone else to call ourselves unique.I love the GTS kit from the CoolCats.net body mod pageDOES ANYONE HAVE SERIOUS INTEREST IN THIS IDEA and please offer suggestions for other styles of body kits.SORRY GUYS...this kit does not apply to the Tbird folks.(unless you wanted to start your own group buy) I asked and they said the kit will come as ALL PARTS. Front, sides, rear, spoiler...so to do a Tbird kit would need an additional donor car. (unless you wanna try a chop job on your own)please post if you would be interested and also ideas for body designs.AND...if somone has already talked about something like this...let me know too. I didnt feel like fishing through the whole forum :hick:Here is that GTS kit that i guess went out of business Quote Selected

87-88 Ground Effects ! ! ! Reply #2 – May 14, 2010, 12:15:02 AM Quote from: Haystack;321799The tbird kit uses all the same pieces except for the front.i am aware of that...however. The man doing the work was unwilling/unable to do a separate kit for the tbirds without a Bird to build it on as well as another run of 10 pre-orders. Quote Selected
87-88 Ground Effects ! ! ! Reply #3 – May 21, 2010, 11:35:09 AM Is it just for the 87-88 Cars? and what would the kits look like? Dont want my cat or tbird to look like a tuner's car Quote Selected
87-88 Ground Effects ! ! ! Reply #4 – May 21, 2010, 11:43:17 PM well since I only have an 87 XR7...this "group buy" would only be for the one that I've got. They need a minimum of ten orders (this doesnt seem likely so far due to the lack in interest)And the kit can be whatever we decide as a group...thats why i posted the question. how do you want it to look..they do custom work.I like the GTS kit that is posted up at the top of the page, but we could change stuff or modify. besides...that thing was going for like 900 or something, and these will be in the 675 range.again, it doesnt seem like there is much interest so i'm no longer holding my breath.if i could afford it, i would just buy 10 kits myself and then sell them on a first come/ first serve basis and pocket a few bucks profit. 87-88 Ground Effects ! ! ! Reply #5 – May 26, 2010, 09:47:23 PM Tuff position your in. I feel for ya. Body kits can really be cool and the chance to do a custom one would be neat. My car is an 88 xr7 that my friend and I redid 6 years ago. It would be neat to see what the person can make for our cars. I don't have the extra cash right now. PLEASE don't give up. I wish you good luck. Quote Selected
87-88 Ground Effects ! ! ! Reply #6 – May 27, 2010, 01:59:07 AM I think there is a lot of interest,but not enough money like that in people's pockets.It's a "six of one...half a dozen of the other" situation. Quote Selected
