x2.  Your probably blowing out your spark.  Try a new set of quality copper plugs.  If it still has it, try under-gapping them some.
My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.

autolite spark plugs 764 or AR764 if you can get them, and the best set of plug wires

also check your fuel pressure, make sure it is 39-43 psi with the vac hose off

15-18 is all the lil IHI is good for

make sure you have the bracket on the front of the IC on and bolted tight , and that the IC coupler clamps are snug
1985 TC (yet another one) Fully loaded
has 225k mile  still with the factory head gasket

i think everyone here was saying do not stray away from motorcraft parts when it comes to spark plugs and wires.  i bought mine from http://www.forced4.com/svostore.html along with the cap and rotor.  my car ran great after that.

Yep stay with motorcraft wires for sure on stock ignition.  I put a set of taylors on and it ran AWFUL going down the road.  It would spit and backfire everyso often and was annoying.  Drove it 10 miles like that and went back home and got a different car till I could switch it back.
