How much paint should i buy?

Hello all,it has been awhile since i have hit the board,quick question.i have a chance to buy a quart of a silver blue,or a pearl purple 3/4 gal,do you think the quart will paint the whole car from primer??or should i buy the purple???? thank`s j

3/4 gal won't finish off our car. It would get you close if you thin it but a gal would be better and after you add your hardners and thinning it out a bit to spray it it would give you enough to even do the door jambs. But what kind of paint scheme are you doing 2 tone? if so 3/4 gal would be enough.

Is it base coat? or SS eurathane?

I picked it up today,its dupont chromabase base coat.z2c suzuki blueberry effect..looks good in the can.. wont be ready for at least a couple of months before i get around to painting it....

You'll be cutting it real close doing the jambs too. It should cover pretty decent. tint your sealer to match the color just in case before you spray.

Thanks,i think i will use this for the stang should be enough...i think i will stick with my original color of silver.....thanks.....
