April 21, 2005, 09:56:36 PM Hey guys, wondering if anybody has any info on this?I have a kirban adjustable regulator i'm going to be installing with all my other eng mods. Now on similar eng modded dyno pulls i've read that the most power was made at about 38-39psi of pressure,is this with the vac line connected or without?I know that under stock conditions my fuel pressure runs about 30psi at idle and about 40 under wot.Anybody who's got one of these, info would be appreciated.Engine mods i will be doing in case someone doesn't know are as follows:Edelbrock performer headsBBK 70mm tbCobra upper and lower intakes1/2" intake spacer24 LB injectorsKirban adj regulator1.7 ratio cobra rockers76mm C&L maf meter and power tubeUnderdrives1 5/8" shortie unequal headers2 1/2" mac exauste155lph fuel pumpMy eng is currently a 90 HO Quote Selected
Re: Adj regulator fuel pressure? Reply #1 – April 21, 2005, 10:09:41 PM Always take your pressure reading with the vacuum line disconnected. What heads and cam are you running? If stock I would say that with the 24 pound injectors you should set it around 32-34 PSI. QuoteI know that under stock conditions my fuel pressure runs about 30psi at idle and about 40 under wot This fluctuation is caused by a vacuum drop. It's not pulling on the back of the regulator at full tilt. Looks like that reading was taken with your vacuum line hooked up. The only time pressure will actually do that with the line disconnected is in a forced induction application Quote Selected
