One Memory

2009. Pick the one memory of the year that defined it all.

The one thing that tops all else...let's hear it.

For me, it was finding out that my next child will be a daughter...nothing else compares.

All in all, 2009 was a  good year, and I hate to see it go, or go by so fast, but I'm pretty excited about what's next. "Life is Good."™

Going through all the trials and tribulations with my wife, as she underwent all her treatments. She is an inspiration to me, how strong she was through everything. :D She taught me not to worry so much about the little stuff, and what is really important. Here's to a better 2010.:burnout:

Wow so much happened! I don't know where to start.......
I'd say May 15th 2009 was the biggest day of 09, it was the day we got the keys to our house and the day my bird was wrecked witch ment it was the day I also had perminent nerve damage, and two destroyed disks, and could bairly walk for some time after.  But more importantly it was the first night in my little girls life she ever had her own bedroom.

It was a big day.

Went down to see my Aunt in Lousiana and visited New Orleans (1st time I had been down since Katrina).  Made me realize how good I have it compared to those less fortunate.

June 22: The day I decided to lose weight (my goal was to drop at least 93 pounds). And Nov 7th: The day I reached that goal.

2009 has been a year of big change for me. In addition to losing the weight I also got myself into the best physical shape I've ever been in thanks to working out and walking, swimming and jogging. The health benefits have been enormous - I haven't used an athsma puffer since June and the back pain from my 1998 car accident is almost totally gone. I kicked two prescription drug habits (Percoset and Ativan), and went back to work as a mechanic, making more money than I've ever made. It was also my first summer of driving the T-Bird as a 5-speed (and hopefully this coming summer will be my first driving it as an HO - got everything for the swap except the cam).

But I digress... the topic was the "one" memorable thing in 2009, and as I said, the weight loss was the biggie. 2010, if all goes according to plan, will see even bigger changes...

Sending our son off to puppiesan for 1-4 years. It was his decision and he is happy he did it. His mom and I, not so much. It was the biggest event of 2009 for us and his homecoming will be the biggest event of whatever year that is!

I'd love to visit puppiesan someday, but probably not for that long of a time.

Hey, there's worse places he could go.

If you don't mind my asking, is it business, or a job, or just wanting to go in general?
