Are you f*ckin kiddin?

Ok, I guess not.
For mounts, you need to go to your nearest John Deere dealer and order up mounts for a 9760 STS combine...they're what I used, work great too, I may add!

For the pan, I just nabbed one off of a Chevy 305 I had laying around...sure, I had to use about 19 tubes of JB weld...but hey, it only leaks a little oil...if I even bother putting oil in..

Now seriously...this has been covered a billion and 9 times...do yourself a favor, and learn to SEARCH.
It's the little clickable thing in the upper right hand side of the page that spells out s*e*a*r*c*h.
Then you type in..oh, for example, 351w, and hit enter...
Amazing concept, right?
Right...now quit asking the same old shiznit :flip:

Don't be a dick about it man.  Everyone knows you use motor mounts for a 4020.  Make sure its a gas NOT a diesel. :punchballs:

True enough.I've seen some guys luck out and have the hood close with the smallest amount of space between the hood and intake, and then some have had to have a cowl hood,or hole in the hood with a scoop.

It didn't take long, did it? We all ask questions that heave been asked before. Most of us are still learning.

Ya know...

There are 40+ threads about swapping 351w in to these cars here, don't believe me, search it yourself. I did. I have numerous times.

Yeah, I'm all for helping new folk with their cars, but sometimes enough is enough.
As far as growing up, well, I don't give a rat's ass for some clapped out Mustang that is more missing than present, but I didn't bust your balls about it, because you (seem) to know what you're doing.

I don't have a problem with you, and my first post in this thread was more in humor than anything else. I reckon if that wasn't obvious to you by now, then we have nothing further to say to each other over the matter. Peace man. :D

As to the original poster...the 351w swap is time consuming, can be expensive, and requires more dedication than some people are willing to give. Disregard all my bitching and nagging up to this point, accept an apology for my being an asshole, and please search all you can before asking...;)
Sorry dude.

It would have taken me personally about the same time to post a new thread as it would to click the search button, and type in "351 swap". By the time you came back to read all of the responses, you could have already known that the 83-85 cars use the mustang style motor mounts. That right there would let you know everything that you would need to know. You also could have found many threads and detailed instructions on what to swap out in order to do so.

It really is a bit of beating a dead horse. It could have been stickied right above this post, and I have a feeling that you still would have made this thread.

Some people respect other peoples time and don't just expect others to fix all of there problems for you. However, I would have to say you didn't exactly get the best response. Sounds like you went about it the slowest way possible.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
