It'shiznit or miss for 1988--some people have them, some don't. Every '88 I've owned (4) did not have a glove box light. And some people have had them in all of their '88s. So flip a coin LOL.That being said, it should be possible to wire one in although I can't say for sure if the harness end is in there. Should be above the glove box underneath the dash. If you've got that harness then a pre-1988 light assembly should just plug in. Quote Selected

I'm positive none of the TCs had one and 4-5 were loaded with about every option there was... Guess the GB light wasn't part of any of the TC preferred packages... Quote Selected

The luxury Light/Convenience Group(avail on all models) includes cornering lamps, dual lighted vanity mirrors in sunvisors, illuminated entry system, and the auto lamp system... BTW I'm 99% sure there is no wiring in my TC for a GB lamp... When I wired the keyless remote, I tied into the horn relay and trunk release which are both there at the glove box... Quote Selected
