1988 Thunderbird Sport Coupe for Sale - Revised Reply #22 – December 06, 2009, 01:27:09 PM Hi, I just saw your message. There are no back taxes owed on the car. It is registered non operational in California. If it is going out of state, and not driven in California roads, then it doesn"t need to be reregistered. The pink slip would be proof of ownership in any other state. For use in California the fee is about $100 Plus a Smog check which runs about $50.
