Alright. I have proof now...

There's a mouse (or something) living in my XR-7!

When I bought it, it had been sitting for nearly 9 years, so finding mice paraphernalia is to be expected. I cleaned a huge nest out of the air box, out of the inner fender (between the plastic fender liner and the metal), and off the top of the gas tank.

The interior always kinda smelled "funny". But never, in any of these nests, or anywhere, have I found any mice, live or dead. So I figured that sometime, over all those years, mice have moved in and out.

Now, today, I was at a drive thru, and I opened the glove box looking for napkin... And there was a big ball of foil in there?! Where the heck did that come from? I don't even use foil for anything. This foil ball had been partially shredded with little bits all over the glove box.

So this little SOB must be able to leave the vehicle and return at his leisure (and bring his foily-trash in with him).

I just can't believe that all the times I have driven this car (1500 miles worth now), and all the times I have worked on it, I have never seen him.

So now I'm gonna load a trap and put it on the floor. I just hope he doesn't fling blood and penutbutter all over my nice interior!

I'll bet he actually rides with you wherever you go to be honest. At least its not a rat, I hear they can chew through drain pipes if need be.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking. I should name him "shotgun"!

I don't get creeped out by it, I have had a million gerbils and mice for pets. I just don't want him wrecking my interior (or stinking it up!).

Ehh, how about letting rust flourish...it's a natural part of the environment, is it not?

Maybe PETA should become PETAR
(People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and Rust) ;)

I don't go out of my way to exterminate mice...unless they get in my car or my house.

Some people kill snakes out of fear and loathing, some people kill spiders, some do the same to mice.
I just don't like 'em in my car, my house, etc, because they shiznit everywhere, and they stink things up. If they're out in the wild, and away from my stuff, then they have a good chance of living.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
