ECM Curiosity

I have a couple spare ECM's for my birds, and am having trouble identifying the programming codes.

The original in the car is NN1.
One spare is NL
Other spare (currently installed for some troubleshooting) is FA.

The FA is listed as being for the T-Bird/Cougar 3.8's with CFI.  The chart on fordfuelinjection.com doesn't list either the NL or the NN1, though.  I'm thinking maybe these date the site a little?  I'm going to run the FA a little while and see  if a driveability issue goes away.  That issue is one I've chased for years.  Light throttle, it seems to stall like the ignition is shutting down or something.  I replaced the TFI some years ago thinking that would help.  Silly me, I wish now I'd kept the old one to gut and do a remote-mount mod.

If anyone can help me identify the differences between the FA, NL, and NN1 ECM's I'd really appreciate it.
