Added more Thunder to the Bird today!

I had some old subs in a ported box from a blazer I used to have so I decided to stick them in the thunderbird! lol

Here is what all went in today:

Audio:
Ported 12" box ($75)
Two Cerwin Vega 12" Competition Subwoofers (800 watts each) ($100 each)
Two Rockford Fosgate 1000 Watt amps. ($200 each)
One JL Audio bass controller (allows the amp to also be turned up from 12 volts to 16!) Adding 175 Watts ($65)
Stinger wires from front to back (est. around $70)
Head unit is JVC 6 disc changer (kinda small, only 200 watts) ($150)
Two Sony 6x9's ($65)

Parts:
New gasket kit (valve covers, intake, etc;) ($40 I think)
Ford Racing smog pump elimanator pulley. ($75)
Cold air intake (not installed yet) ($115)
New belt ($27)
New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil ($80??)
Oil and oil filter (I dont remember! lol)

Grand total: $1,362!

Umm...It hits and it hits HARD! You can see the quarter panel flexing when its at full power. Also pushes the trunk lid up some. It takes your breath when sitting inside the car. Rear view mirror moves all around and the factory speakers lasted about 2.6 seconds! lol I knew they were gonna blow so I already had the new Sony 6x9's out of the box. Pics to come soon!

Wasnt all about Audio today though....
I got my Ford Racing smog pump elimanator pulley in so I decide to throw that on there. Oh here is a fun fact I didnt know, smog pump on the thunderbird is bigger than the smog pump on a mustang. So with finding that out i was off to Autozone for a shorter belt.

While I was dirty I decided to knock out all the problems So I picked up a gasket kit from the parts house and replaced valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, timing cover gaskets, replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor button, coil, radiator flushed, oil changed, new oil filter.

Also added the BBK 2" lowering springs in the front.

So its pretty much perfect now. All I got to do next is tint the windows and get the exhaust done. Already have a set of 1 chamber Flowmasters and stock mustang shorty's. Just waiting on the next pay check to come in!

You guys had your chance to buy it! Now im stuck with it because I just dumped a TON of money in it! lol

However I do have a nice set of unused perfect condition 1985-88 style rear quarter panel birds that I have had for years that I would not mind donating to you if need them! I originally bought them a long time ago when I had a wild hair up my butt to do a 1977 Ford Ranchero with a Tbird front end and I was going to use them somewhere on it. I kept them all these years!
