Attn Aftermarket Turbo and Supercharger swappers!!

I did a search and couldn't find the answer to my question so I figured Id post a thread.

I just got a 88 TC with no motor, I am wanting to put my whole tubular front end in the TC as well as my 302 that's carbd blow threw with the BG Turbo kit and Precision Turbo.

Question, I have to run solid motor mounts with this kit. If you look at the pic below you ll see what I am trying to ask. I want to know if the whole cold side will line up with the same holes in the TC as it would in my Capri? Like the cold side, right from the turbo it goes into the oval hole where the factory air box would be and it goes to the front mount inter cooler than comes back into the engine compartment through the (I believe it was) the windshield washer fluid filler is. Will that still work just the same as in my Capri or is additional modding needed?

I know some of yall have done something similar and would like to know ACTUALL experiences with this.

Pic below..

Thanks guys :D

Thanks John, yeah Ive been getting alot of different info that's for sure. I thought you could believe everything you read on the web!! lol

Well I know where ill be hanging out and asking questions! I like this place. People seem cool, seems like 0 drama unlike other places, which is always good. I will pursue this further and make this happen. Still worried about that one spot! ;)

dominator - Thanks for the info, seems like good news to me :)

I'm so mentally shot from this already because of all the things that's been going on with one min I could do this than I cannot. I DO NOT wanna take the Capri apart if this is going to be a big ordeal, so that's why I am asking all these questions. I do have a plan, trust me, just need answers 1st before any deconstruction begins.

Thanks guys

Hi mikeP i like the way you did your motor. My name is jerimie and i was wondering if you could give me any info or what you did to set up your motor to run with a turbo. I have a 79 cobra mustang  2.3T that had a draw thro set up. I would like to make the set up like yours so i dont have to change to EFI. Any even a small pinch of info that you could give me would be great so much. Thanks

My experience installing a P600b ProCharger (wihch is mounted on the drivers side, w/intercooler piping running to the passenger side) on a T-Bird coincides w/Dominators assessment: mostly the same.  Using your k-member and front accessories simplifies the swap.

You may need to make some spacers to mount the k-member properly.

The caster/camber plates may need to be adapted or replaced (tops of the shock towers are different).

Can't help you on hood clearance, I have no practical experience there.
