351 Question

351 Question

For those of you with 351's using sepentine belt drive, are the brackets for the accessories 351 specific, or interchangeable between 351 and 302? Just working on my swap list, and figured this was a good time to get this part outta the way.

The alt/smog bracket is same, p/s & a/c is different. I believe you'll need the Mustang type p/s pump mount(on the pump) as the Bird/Coug mount won't fit the 351 bracket.

I only run crank waterpump and alt all on one sepentine belt.
I used mustang underdrive pullys and made my own alt bracket

Hi guys, sorry about the delayed reply, but thanks for the answers. I'll need to keep my smog pump, but the a/c already went buh-bye. I'll be looking into a Procharger unit, but need to check with them about mounting solutions.

Their website doesn't mention 351's, but the pic they show for the 5.0 has the a/c in place, and the supercharger beside it. Easiest mounting for routing their intercooler I guess. Need to find out if they offer mounting brackets for non a/c apps. with a 351.
