1988 TC single Holset turbo 5.0/ 4R70W Reply #915 – July 30, 2012, 11:13:40 PM After saving some cash up I have decided to go with a used set of TW heads. I am excited to get these on the car and see the difference. It will give me a chance to fix a couple of things that I want to improve on with radiator shrouding and isolating the airflow to the turbo inlet. I can also take a look at the wideband once the passenger inner wheel well is removed to fix it.At the same time I'll be getting the A/C hooked up and charged so I can drive and enjoy the car during warm weather. Stay tuned! Quote Selected

I believe the flex plate is specific to the bell too. I been sitting on it for a few decades.... Quote Selected

I found the spacer on eBay for $30 shipped. I already have the bellhousing, TC, and flexplate? Put a post on corral with no responseTravis Quote Selected

I don't have a clue when I'll get started on it. The Tr7 is first up for repairs, and I am reworking the alternator mount on it as well as repairing the damage from a sheared aux gear.Your offer was too good to pass up, though. I am grateful. Put a post on corral with no responseTravis There shouldn't be an issue with fitment in our cars behind a 351. The small bell provides plenty of clearance. As you install the converter and mate to the block, check the clearance. The shallow bell can place the converter too close to the flex plate, potentially causing it to bind. It's a lot easier to check out of the car! Quote Selected
