New guy and all that

So, my name is Bill, and I'm addicted to cars. Well, really not just cars, but pretty much anything mechanical, cars, motorcycles, aircraft, guns...

Currently, I have a 1972 Olds 442 "pro-touring" style project.

A 1989 asc/McLaren convertible.

And a 1993 Suzuki VX800.

We also have a 1999 SLK230 that is my wife's daily driver, and a 1969 Triumph Bonneville that is in more than the normal number of pieces!

So this one time at band camp...

We currently live in Ijamsville, MD (near Frederick) but will be moving to Oak Ridge, TN early next year. Once we have moved, I plan on getting a nice '86-'88 Turbo Coupe as a driver. Thus, I thought I should join and learn a bit about them.

Your wish is my command!

It's a 1972 Olds Cutlass (442) convertible. The front suspension is Global West upper and lower tubular arms with C-6 Z06 Corvette 6 piston front brakes, and a 1-3/8 sway bar.

Rear suspension is a Ford 9-inch with C-6 Z06 Corvette 4 piston brakes.

The drivetrain consists of a Big Block Chevy with Port fuel injection, and a Richmond Gear 5-speed.

The interior has/will have custom buckets with 6-way power seats on both sides, tilt/tele, a Nardi wheel with a custom shifter , and a custom dash insert and console.

The exterior features custom molded bumpers with a hand made rear spoiler, front driving, fog, and cornering lights, and LED tail lights, W-25 hood, power remote mirrors, and shaved door and trunk locks/handles. The color is 2006 Pontiac GTO red.

Here are a few build shots:

I even hope to one day finish the ed thing!

Erm... '86 is a four eyed car. :D

I don't like the earlier dash though, thus the '86-'88

I like the mods, please tell me its still oldsmobile powered. Why the ford 9 inch rear? The olds one must be more durable.
