I did them, and the weight difference will be negligible due to my keeping the electric seat tracks.  they should be better at keeping me in place going around a corner though

Did you do the upholstery work yourself or farm it out?

Did you use a kit to adapt the seats to the tracks or was it a straight bolt-in?

I did the upholstery work myself, due to my getting quoted $450 to have them done by someone else.  I made an adapter out of 10 gauge steel to go from the racing seats to the electric seat tracks so all you have to do is bolt the adapter to the seat, and then use 5/16 bolts to attach them.  I tapped the holes into the adapter plate for ease of tightening because there are some tight spots in there, lol.  My main goal in this project was to get them to look as factory as possible

I think you did a great job.  It matches pretty close to a factory color scheme.

If you could have made the middle fabric like the original fabric, you would have nailed it.

yeah, I woulda had to add foam to the gray part so it would get sucked down if I had done the stitching in the center.  I could always come back and redo it in there.  Mainly it was because I didnt figure I could make a straight enough stich to have it look good, rofl
