yeah to amend/add to what Tbird232 just posted:
a 302, or 5.0 Liter, is what is somewhat known as a "small-block"-
a 460, or bored and stroked 514, (same thang, jest bigger holes)
is a 7.5 liter, or in the case of 514 cubic inchers, even bigger, considered a big block...and nothing interchanges between em, except that they can fit in a Fox, with kits for the 460/514, but keep in mind, traction will be a problem, unless you have stout tires in back.

BB cougar and t bird are the way to go.
I have the bottom end of a 460 with 440 6 pack rods and cheavy pistons,
498inchs,  I just need to save up and get a set of AL cober jet heads and a roller cam and intake,

When this is all together i will show horn it into a stang,  or maybe another cougar.
Pinto wagon? lol

No, no, no! You are all wrong. Everybody knows that the intake manifolds from a 302 will fit on a 460. Even the valve covers will swap right over. Hell even the ler bearings from a 302 will fit on a 460.

..but don't forget to get a second flux capacitor or the 460 won't run right. :hick:

Remember, always check your headlight fluid every 3 blue moons or 1743 miles, whichever comes last.. unless it's on a Tuesday beginning with the letter G.. :wtf:

Unfortunately, it'll probably get much worse around here before it gets better. Growing pains. We went from slEZboard to this.. from  near useless (no search, not much customization, etc.) to this nice shiny new board, and the population has really seemed to take off. Increase the general population, and you increase the number of those people who absolutely rub *everyone* the wrong way. They're a percentage of said population.
