premium sound - common ground?

I want to amplify my highs in my 88 turbocoupe and am wondering if having premium sound had the speakers all independent of each other(other than one in the dash/one in the door combined).  I'm hoping I can just take the end off the factory amp and figure out which wires to use and hook the highs up like that.  Is this how its wired or do I pretty much have to rewire everything?  If thats the case, I wont bother doing it, lol.

Premium sound has independent grounds to each speaker. I've installed aftermarket amps in my car using the factory speaker wires

They made it easy with the amp in the back. Run RCAs for all 4 channels to the new amp, cut the old output off the ford amp and wire it up to the new one.

then it looks semi pro lol

just my two cents. I'm about to go out and look at mine, its been so long I may be crazy on the info.
