5.0 Springs - stock to small drop

The threads here concerning springs are not clear as even Rockauto shows Moog #8658 as being the correct replacement springs while 8602s have been brought up. I'm looking for springs that will drop the car up to 0.5" up front, mainly because of some lighter parts that will be getting installed up front here soon.

What should the 8602's do to the car, along with the 8600's, in the case of a stock iron headed and a/c equipped vehicle with an automatic? Drop 100 lbs off the front end and then what may I expect?

Gotta get me some parts ordered :p

Also what at RockAuto comes as singles and what comes as pairs? I'm assuming the below:

Pair:
Strut Mount
Spring Front
Spring Rear

Single:
Tie Rod End (outer)
Tie Rod End (inner)
Rack and Pinion
Ball Joints Lower
Inner Wheel Seal
Wheel Bearings
Calipers/Brake Pads
Rotors

My front end is about 150 pounds lighter than stock, but I'll show the before and after on the springs
The stock spring were on the car in the following pic with all the weight loss measures done already:

The pic below is after installing Moog #8598's out front.

You MAY want to go with the 8600... Kitz runs those....

Yeah I saw that but your posts in threads are the only ones talking about the springs :p

Everywhere still lists 8602's as 3.8 liter springs with the 5.0 ones being 8658's. I figure either the 8602's or 8600's will get the the same frontend height as my currently worn out suspension but unsure which - I assume 8600's.

It's going to cost around $1100 to do all the front suspension, steering, brakes, rear suspension (already have CHE control arms), and rear brakes using Bilstein struts/shocks. Not bad but not "cheap" either. At least using good parts all around should help it last a good long while. The good thing - it can all be done in a couple weekends doing the front first and then the rear/axle/brakes to disc in the rear the second. I figure this stuff will make a much bigger impact that the new engine/trans did.

So is the 8602 really stock height or still slightly lower than the 8658's? I cannot find the 8600's anywhere but online.

I've seen those but 8658 is the Sport springs while 8606 is the standard LX/5.0

The numbers I'm trying to compare but have no clue about are:

Install Height    Load rate (lbs)    Spring Rate (Lbs/in.)    Free Height

11.00 1660.0 415.0 15.00
11.00 1740.0 415.0 15.19
11.00 1820.0 415.0 15.38

STOCK NON-SPORT 5.0
11.00 1900.0 462.0 15.13

STOCK SPORT 5.0
11.75 1695.0 417.0 15.84

Google fails me!

I have 8600's on now with alum. heads, didn't lower much. V-8 demon seem to hit it right with the 8598's.

Pay more attention to the spring rate and load rating....

Notice the load rating of 1900 pounds for the "stock non-sport 5.0"

THAT'S gonna be up in the air....
For reference purposes I've edited the first post to show the difference before and after concerning my spring height.  Before the swap was stock height springs.

Okay, so it seems that 8600's SHOULD be a good fit with irons and retained a/c then.

Kitz, still have a/c or no?

Bringing this thing back up, How is the cornering with 8600 and 8598 springs?

Does less load rating mean more body roll in the twisties?

I hardly roll at all, It's tight thru the turns, A whole lot better than stock was. I also replaced everything on the front when I put the springs in.

While the load rating is less, the spring reate is the same.  I installed Bilsteins at the same time so the ride is totally different.
