Heres a few pics of the new car

Here are a few quick pics, just put brakes on it and replaced the bad tire. This was yellow86cougars old car. Got the smoking issue resolved also. Anyone know what rims these are? They look like mustang rims to me. Either way they gotta go.

If you wanna roll those rims down the street and see if they make it all the way to utah, I'll take them off your hands.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I agree that $600 was a steal, especially since the smoking issue was resolved by re-connecting the PCV hose and the brake pads came with the car. I think I won on this one.

Those are tempo rims, odd seeing as it had turbines on it in the for sale section.

I didnt think Tempo rims fit. They are same as Escort bolt pattern IIRC which is too small. Those are 4 banger Stang rims. Got a pair in the driveway.

I used to have pictures of a cougar rim on a tempo. One of the cars I bought had a bent rim. The extra one was a tempo wheel.

Yes its a XR7 its really a solid car. It has some surface rust on the lower door and a few spots on the pass side. I will be replacing the rt fender, it had some rust and when the old tire came apart (re-tread) it beat it up pretty good. I hope to have it all painted and done by this summer and then I will decide what to do with it.

From what I can find, Tempos did have the  4x 108 pattern. But they are also sayin Escorts did too. I tried Escort rims on my car, no go. bolt pattern was too small. I must of had post 90 rims.

LOL, yeah I know. Thats half the reason I sold my truck and my SHO. When they started taking money that I wanted the Cougar to have it was out the door. Really though that was a great deal. Really wanted to buy it for my Dad but things took a bad twist and I couldnt. Cant wait to see what you have in store for it.
