Fuel pump question???? March 11, 2009, 01:20:10 PM I am curious if they put the fuel pump in the tank or on the frame rail (sub-frame rail) in stock form on the 85 Bird's. I got the car from a guy who put an aftermarket pump where the passenger ler goes and I can't get it to pass insspection that way. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. Quote Selected

I know they did some of the cars both ways, just learning about the Birds... he had pulled the motor and trans out of a '91 LX Mustang and put in it, took the fuel-injection off and put a 700cfm double pumper on it... I think he said it had that CFI unit on the orignal motor... that was about all he could remember, lol... Thanks again... Quote Selected
