Gran Turismo 4

So after having bought ourselves as a 1 year anniversary present for each other a PS2, I picked up a used copy of GT4 and have been rockin' the  out of it. I don't have many cars yet, but I do have a '92 Lancer GSR that I used to start out with, as well as a Nismo 400R, and an '05 Stang GT that is modded as much as can be done.
Also just won a 1970 SS454 Chevelle, boy am I gonna have fun with that!
Since I'm having a hell of a time passing the license tests, I've been playing around with the B-Spec and winning races to build up my cars, and it's kinda cool...although boring.

I'd have to say my fave tracks are Midfield, Infineon, and of course Laguna Seca.

I only had GT1 and GT2 for the ps1, never played GT3. I used to play GT4 at a buddie's house back when we didn't have a life, but we always used a gameshark for infinite money etc...and that WAS boring as hell..lol.

So does anybody else still have fun with GT4...and if so, what are your fave cars? Tracks? etc etc

You're going to need this little tip. Once you get a fast enough car, go to the Special Conditions Races (I'm positive that's the wrong name, but it's at the very bottom left of the main screen) and do the first Capri Rally. Win both races and you win a Toyota RSC Rally Raid, worth $250k'ish. You can keep doing it over and over (reset the rally each time) and you can be a rich man fast.

Screw you Ford... I'm going to get a ranger riding a mustang to restore your focus on the expedition needed to escape from the edge of bankruptcy.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I used to own the first 3 and rented 4 a few times and then I sold my ps2 with almost all my games. Had the the first 3 beat too, barely put a dent in 4 though lol. I think I still have GT3 somewhere though. Now I just need a PS so I can play GT again.

I think PD should stop worrying about giving computer opponents better AI and give us a  game.

GT4 is fun; it soaked up a lot of my time a few years ago.  Now I play GT5 Prologue.

Biggest peice of turd in 4 ever. don't waste any money on it.

I loved that car on 3. They ruined it on 4. If you get above about 100mph, it dosent turn. You also can't turn while giving it any gas, at any speed.

How I played GT2 and GT4.

Gameshark for a bunch of money.

Buy and mod all the cars I wanted.

Go and win all the cars from races.

Win a few more races and get bored. :hick:

Did you try tuning the suspension and stability control at all? And I mean beyond just buying the top upgrade?
